PRESTON – Kazz Devine scored a game-high 20 points and Myerscough wrapped up its WEABL regular season with a 60-38 win over Nottingham on Wednesday.

Kyra Smith added 13 points and Jess McGrath had 12 for Myerscough (4-5), which led from start to finish.

Myerscough led 31-21 at halftime and opened the third quarter on a 6-0 run. Smith converted a 3-point play to stretch the advantage to 17 points with 3:36 on the clock and Nottingham wouldn’t threaten.

“We’ve gotten to a point where we’re playing less on instinct and actually understanding what we’re doing out there,” said Myerscough coach Mike Bernard. “It’s still a process that needs work — and me being new to coaching this level –it’s going to take time to develop them into what I want to see.”

Shaniya Rose had 13 points for Nottingham (0-7) in the loss. Mariam Olawoyin and Tasmin Hickling combined for 17.
