PRESTON – Myerscough Basketball Academy is set to host its first Alumni Game on June 15 at 4 p.m. at the High Performance Centre on the campus of Myerscough College.

The alumni game will welcome back graduates dating back six years to when the Academy was established at the Preston-based College, including former No. 1 DENG Camp prospect Kyle Carey. Also confirmed is recent Glasgow Rocks signee Earl Russell and Zion Tordoff, who has committed to Marist College following two years at Casper College.

The Hickey twins — Cian and Tadhg — will be joined by Konrad Kantorski (City of Edinburgh), Alex Roberts (Loughborough Riders), Andre Gayle (Manchester Magic), Raheem Idris, Kyle Elly, David Walsh, Trevor Samuels, Will Shaw and Emmanuel Kabengele (former Team Northumbria).

“I am really looking forward to getting the old guard back. They are all a huge part of our foundations and, more than anything, this is a celebration of just how far we’ve come,” said Myerscough head coach Neal Hopkins. “We always keep a close eye on those leaving the programme and this is a fantastic opportunity to have the whole squad back together.”

The event will tip-off with an hour-long community session at 12 p.m. for boys and girls age 16 and under, which is open to any playing ability and free to participate. To sign up for the community event, click here.

Myerscough will then run an in-house 3×3 Tournament beginningat 1:30 p.m. before the headline event between the Alumni and the 2018-19 EYBL team.
