PRESTON, Lancs. — Myerscough forward Edoardo Del Cadia was named Elite Academy Basketball League Player of the Week.
The Player of the Week honour is the second for Myerscough this season, with Callan Low earning the award in Week 5.
Del Cadia turned in a 24-point and 21-rebound performance in Myerscough’s 78-66 comeback win over Charnwood on Wednesday. The Italian native, meanwhile, leads the team in scoring (22.0 PPG) and rebounding (12.4 RPG), and is shooting better than 57 percent from the field.
“I’m very proud to have been selected EABL Player of the Week,” said Del Cadia. “I’m trying to do the best I can every game to put my team in a better position to win. Being nominated Player of the Week will motivate me to keep working hard everyday.”
Del Cadia has had two double-doubles in five league games, but has had no fewer than five rebounds in a contest. He’s scored 20-plus points on occasions and currently ranks third in the EABL in both scoring and rebounding.
