CHESTER, Cheshire — Edoardo Del Cadia scored 20 points to help Myerscough eliminate the University of Chester from the National Shield with a 62-53 comeback win on Sunday.

Myerscough (5-0), which won its first two games of the competition on the road, will host Tameside on Nov. 12.

David Walsh and Konrad Kantorski added 12 points apiece for Myerscough. Walsh, meanwhile, hit four of Myerscough’s seven 3-pointers in the game.

Myerscough, which had to shake shake off its trademark sluggish start leading to a nine-point first half deficit, erased a 43-37 Chester advantage with 4:13 left in the third quarter, as Del Cadia scored back-to-back 3-pointers.

Chester would hold a slim 49-47 lead, but Kantorski converted a contested layup to end the third quarter sparking a 11-2 run and Myerscough stayed ahead for good.

Paul Kelly had 14 points to lead Chester (4-2).
