PRESTON – Sanmi Fajana scored 26 points and Myerscough rolled past SGS College 90-27 in the EABL on Wednesday.
Jamie Gray added 16 points and Lewis McGlasson had 13. Daniel Chima chipped in 10 for Myerscough, which leaned on its bench for a combined 55 points to stay in control from start to finish.
“It was great to see some guys who were making their debuts in the competitions play with a lot of confidence,” said Myerscough coach Neal Hopkins. “We really want to play to our strengths this year and that’s our depth and it was good to see them step up.”
Myerscough broke open a 10-6 scoreline with a 22-0 run sparked by Fajana, who scored 15 points in the first-half. The forward made back-to-back highlight dunks and Sco never looked back.
“Plays like that really boost the team and give energy,” said Fajana. “I’ll just take the confidence that I can use my strength and size.”
Henry Ogilvie led SGS College (0-3) in scoring with 11 points in the loss.
