PRESTON – Myerscough Basketball Academy coaches Neal Hopkins and Mike Bernard were featured on UpStreamedia’s YouTube channel on Friday, which was hosted by Rebound’s Chris Hughes.

UpStreamMedia is an an online umbrella Information service that serves the British basketball community with regular content and live video streams.

The duo covered an array topics, including the Academy’s history, its journey into European basketball and what defines a competitor. The two took playful jabs at one another with Hopkins referring to Bernard as his “underrated player” from the 2017-18 Division 3 season that culminated in the Academy’s first three senior national titles.

Hopkins paid tribute to Konrad Kantorski, who played an integral part in helping Myerscough reach its current heights, while Bernard sang the praises of Rayon Brown.

The coaches also discussed at length the way they are helping Myerscough student-athletes stay engaged in their development on court and in the classroom during the COVID-19 lockdown.
