WELLINGBOROUGH – Sasha Lecuyer had a season-high 24 points to lead the Myerscough Division 2 Women’s team past the Northamptonshire Titans 80-73 on Sunday.
Paula Puzule added 18 points and Celina Eisenhardt hit a trio of 3-pointers and finished with 15 for Myerscough, which improved to 3-o in NBL Division 2 Women’s.
Myerscough jumped out to a seven-point lead midway through the opening quarter, but an 11-2 run lifted Northamptonshire to a 20-19 advantage — the last time it would be ahead. Sco scored 11-straight points either side of the first two quarters and never trailed.
The Titans cut it to a 34-30 game late in the first half. Myerscough, however, responded and led 43-33 at the break.
Myerscough would knock down 7-of-9 free throws down the stretch to keep a comeback at bay.
