PRESTON — Myerscough’s Edoardo Del Cadia has committed to Northwest Florida State, a junior college located in Niceville, for the 2018-19 season.
“It means a lot and it’s a great honour to be a part of the college,” said Del Cadia. “I’m really proud of myself, my family and my friends, and everyone who’s been supporting me over the past years.
“Myerscough was my home for two amazing years and I’m happy of the work that I did with the coaches and that it has come to this step now. My teammates helped me through the hard moments and I can’t thank everyone enough.”
Northwest Florida State men’s basketball competes in the NJCAA Men’s Division I nationally and in Region VIII in conference play.
The Raiders have a storied history in the NJCAA and added to a streak of four consecutive conference titles last season. The programme has added two National Championships in 1995 and 2015, with the second coming under current head coach Steve DeMeo.
