Reflecting on the the previous season, Coach Stoyan Toshkov has been full of positivity:

“Overall we have had a lot of small wins this year within the junior programme. We prioritised participation and development, which helped us create a core of committed players that have the eagerness to get better. Competing in the Junior National league was a vital step of our development. There were challenges but we learned how to stick together and tackle them as a unit. Supported and encouraged each other on and off the floor”. Said Toshkov.

Toshkov was also quick to point out that there has been plenty of individual success, including Tyler Edwards (U15) and Xander Last (U13) who were both part of Basketball England’s Aspire Programme, which recognises players as part of the talent pathway.

Tyler Edwards

Sam Lord had an incredible season for the under 16’s. Leading the way and putting up a fight every time he was on court, whilst Tom Windle was one of the most dedicated and hard working players last season, he spared no effort when he was on the floor.

Under 14 player Daniel Johnstone, started the year without much experience but has become a key player in the squad, with an unmatched willingness to learn and develop. Alfie Molyneux jumped into a leadership role within the under 14 team, with a high desire to win and compete, Alfie is someone who will continue to improve.
