SHEFFIELD — After being held scoreless for the opening 2:10 of the game, Myerscough overturned a 7-0 deficit with a 29-4 run and kept its foot on the throttle, avenging an early season defeat to Sheffield Hallam in the process.
Edoardo Del Cadia led a cast of five players in double figures with 19 points. David Walsh chipped in 16, Mate Okros had 15 and Rayon Brown (14) and Konrad Kantorski (12) combined for 26 for Myerscough, which won 93-57 on Saturday.
Myerscough improved to a league leading 11-1 in Division 3 with five games remaining — the only blemish a Nov. 5 defeat to Sheffield Hallam.
Sheffield came out with the same intention and grabbed a 7-0 lead, but Del Cadia then scored seven of the first nine points, including converting a 3-point play, for Myerscough to tie the game.
Del Cadia would go on to break a 7-all tie and Okros knocked down a 3-pointer before Myerscough outscored Sheffield 22-4 over the remainder of the opening quarter and never looked back.
E. Brownell scored 19 points T. Spencer added 14 points for Sheffield in the loss.
