Myerscough College Basketball Academy had a successful full week of games, which included a strong road win at Doncaster, as well as victories for the Under-19s and U18 Men’s teams.


Myerscough Under-19 Men advanced in AoC Knockout Cup

PRESTON — The Myerscough Under-19 Men advanced to the next round in the AoC Knockout Cup following a lopsided 99-7 win over Salford City on Thursday.

Myerscough led 34-0 after the opening quarter of play, before continuing to run away with the competition’s newest opposition.


Kantorski’s 19 points lifts Myerscough to 78-77 win at Doncaster

DONCASTER — Konrad Kantorski had 19 points to give Myerscough an early signature road win at Doncaster on Saturday.

Kantorski scored nine of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, as Myerscough overturned a six point deficit in a 78-70 victory. David Walsh added 18 points and Landry Mayinga finished with 16.

Myerscough hit 14 3-pointers in the game with five coming in the third quarter. Walsh, meanwhile, connected four times from deep.


Roberts leads Myerscough Under-18 Men past City of Leeds Basketball Academy

PRESTON — Alex Roberts scored a game-high 27 points, and Tom Morey added 17 as the Myerscough Under-18 Men waltzed by City of Leeds Basketball Academy 105-63 on Saturday.

Martell Elly and Daniel Chima combined for 23 points and Ben Gordos added four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points.

A 16-0 City of Leeds run tested Myerscough’s composure, but it recovered to power past the opposition in the end.


Myerscough II falls in close matchup with Tameside

PRESTON — Despite a strong start to season, Myerscough II was overhauled 78-77 by Tameside in Division Four on Sunday.

Stoyan Toshkov led Myerscough II with 19 points and Leon Srisamutr added 13 in the loss.


Myerscough Under-18 Women start season with loss at Manchester

MANCHESTER — A tight scoring affair was won by the hosts as Manchester outlasted the Myerscough Under-18 Women 56-49 on Sunday.
