Sam Chigbo (6-11 and 100 kg) got his first taste of action in the European Youth Basketball League at Stage I in Riga, Latvia. Chigbo, who also made his competitive debut for Myerscough, averaged nearly seven minutes per game and scored 3.6 points to go with 2.4 rebounds. The forward had 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting and six rebounds — both personal bests — against TTÜ BS.
Chigbo, who is part of the Class of 2020, attended the 2019 DENG Camp.
