PRESTON – Myerscough alumni Shauna Harrison followed up her second appearance on Tuesday’s Jess Strom Show, hosted by California University of Pennsylvania assistant coach Katie Tetzlaw, with a career day on the court.
Harrison set a career high in points (28), assists (5), steals (5) and made 3-pointers (6) against Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday night, adding 11 rebounds to record her second straight double-double in the process. The Vulcans would beat the Mountain Cats in convincing fashion.
The 5-foot-11 sophomore guard has reached double figures scoring 11 times this season, including two 20-point performances and three double-doubles. She is currently averaging 11.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in 22 games, which ranks second and first on the team respectively.
The performance comes on the back of Harrison’s first-ever PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week award, which she received after a pair of wins over Clarion and Slippery Rock.
Harrison, who graduated from Myerscough in 2018, is a former WEABL All-First Team selection and she represented Great Britain at the Under-20 European Championships in 2019.
